Seasonal Performance Rehearsal

Rehearsals at School of Rock are an integral part of the Performance Program and are designed to facilitate the growth and development of student musicians in a band setting. Here’s an overview of what you can typically expect during rehearsals:

**Structured Sessions**
Rehearsals are held on a consistent schedule, allowing students to establish a routine and commitment to their band. Each rehearsal session typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours, providing ample time for learning and practice. Students work together as a band, learning to communicate musically and interactively, which is crucial for live performances. Each student typically has a specific role (e.g., lead singer, guitarist, bassist, drummer) that they prepare for, which helps them understand their contributions to the overall sound. During rehearsals, bands focus on learning and perfecting a setlist of songs that they will perform. This includes practicing arrangements, dynamics, and transitions within songs. Instructors guide students in focusing on their individual parts while also emphasizing how those parts fit into the larger band context.
